Listed below are some frequently asked questions which we hope will answer any queeries you may have. If you require any further information, or have a specific question you would like to ask then please do not hesitate to call us on 01582 842244 or email us by clicking here
Q: Can my children ride or drive?
A: Our minimum age for driving activities starts at 16 years of age.
Q: Can I bring my children along to watch?
A: Mechanically propelled vehicles and small children do not mix particularly well, and create a potentially dangerous environment. We do not ban children from site, but ask that their presence is closely supervised by accompanying adults at all times. You will be responsible for their safety and behaviour at all times. Unruley children, or indeed adults, will be politely asked to behave or leave.
Q: Are spectators allowed?
A: New for 2009 is a raised decking area where you can watch the Rage Buggy Circuit. There are no dedicated spectator areas for Quads and Karts although you will be able to watch if you keep out of the pitlane and a safe distance away. Unfortunately there are no spectators permitted for Apache Buggy and 4x4 unless there is space in the ferry vehicle.
Q: What do I need to bring with me?
A: Old clothes and sturdy footwear. Our main activities generally involve lots of mud and / or dust so you are likely to get dirty. We require that sturdy footwear with good grip and some degree of ankle support (such as running shoes, trainers or work boots) are worn. Arms and legs must be covered for driving. A change of clothes and footwear is a good idea for the journey home – don’t forget a bag or bin liner to put your dirty clothes and shoes in! With our off-road motorcycle activities, we supply all of the protective clothing required.
Q: Do you supply waterproof clothing?
A: We do not provide waterproof clothing within our prices. Should you require additional outer clothing, we can provide a single piece dust suit at a price of £6 each. These are subject to stocking levels so advance booking for these is advisable, particularly for larger groups.
Q: Do you supply safety equipment?
A: We supply helmets and safety goggles for our activities as required by relevant health and safety regulations. You are welcome to bring your own provided they are in good condition and meet with European Standards. For our off-road motorcycle schools and tours we supply a full range of protective equipment such as body armour, boots etc.
Q: Do I need my driving license?
A: You only require a motorcycle licence if you are taking part in one of our Guided off-road Trailbike Tours. For all other activities no licence is required as our activities take place on our purpose built private land.
Q: Do I need any identification?
A: We may ask for proof of age if you are lucky enough to look younger than the minimum ages for each activity.
Q: Can I get something to eat or drink?
A: Yes, we sell cold drinks and a small selection of crisps, sweets and chocolates. There is also a small café at the gun club next door where you can buy hot food.
Q: Will we be able to race?
A: We can not allow wheel to wheel racing due to health and safety regulations. However, for some special events we are able to have catch-up rounds in a knock-out fashion - please ask us for details or see our activities section of this website.
Q: Are there toilets on site?
A: There are toilets available within the shooting activity centre.
Q: Do you give instruction?
A: Yes, we give a full safety briefing and instruction for all of our activities. In the Apache Rally Buggy and 4x4 you will have an instructor sitting next to you.
Q: Are there size restrictions?
A: On Quad Bikes, Apache Buggy and Rage Buggies, persons much more than 6ft or over 18 stone will probably find them uncomfortable and difficult to ride/drive. Our trailbikes require that you are at least 5ft 3"
Q: I am suffering from a medical condition, can I still drive?
A: Persons suffering from any medical, physical or mental conditions (such as heart disease, re-occurring bad back, epilepsy), or any other that may be aggravated by these activities, or detract from safe participation should take appropriate professional advice before participating and also disclose any such information to us.
Q: Are activities affected by weather?
A: If the conditions are particularly wet we may not be able to operate the Apache Rally Buggy or Rage Buggies for safety reasons. Our Quads and Drift Karts can run in most conditions, but if the weather looks very grim please call us before travelling. In the event of an activity being cancelled we will arrange a new date with you.
Q: Can we come and play after going to the pub?
A: No, any person suspected of being under the influence of intoxicating substances will not be permitted to participate in any activities. Consumption of alcohol is not permitted until the cease of activities. If you smell of alcohol you don't drive.
Q: Is my deposit refundable on cancellation or non arrival?
A: No, but it may be transferable to another date, provided that you give us sufficient time to try and re-sell your track time (at least 7 days). For Closed Gate and Corporate events, we may have already paid deposits to third party suppliers for that particular date and a transfer of deposit may not be possible.
Q: Can I bring my own 4x4 to use on your tracks?
A: We have never had enough interest to warrant running “use your own 4x4 days”. We would however be pleased to talk to people who may form part of a club or group who may wish to hire our 4x4 course for a day.
Q: Do you have any souviners?
A: We have a merchandise shop coming soon on site where you can order items such as mouse mats, mugs, t-shirts, keyrings etc customised with a picture of your own, or one taken by our on-site photographer.
